This week: The vaudevillian life of Nora Bayes, starting with the vaudevillian lullaby that my kids heard night after night.

My son Cole after one of the hundreds of vaudeville shows that he would be a part of in the future.
Backstage with Cole – who was doing the job as stage manager at the follies. Cole came with me into the Grant Simpson Vaudeville Revues, the Klondike Follies, the Furlesque Shows – and on any other show that I did. Nothing put my nerves more at ease than to know I had Cole there as my stage manager.

Al Hirshfeld was able to capture the personality of people in lines. What an amazing talent!
